Grazing Academy

Your land is your most valuable asset.  Pasture is the cheapest form of Feed.

Managed grazing, reduces cost whilst sustainably increasing production.   

If you are already convinced by grazing and want to capitalise on the opportunity these grazing academies are designed for you.  They provide and develop core practical skills and knowledge to allow you to operate rotational and cell grazing systems, such as TechnoGrazing. 

The first group of cattle producers started their course in May 2017.  This inaugural group was kindly sponsored by AHDB Beef and Lamb.  You can find out more about the course below: 

Course Itinerary 

Session 1 - Grazing Infrastructure, Management and Motivation

  • Grazing models, electric fencing, water systems,(installation and fault detection). Cattle behaviour (grazing and handling).  Personal success and motivation.

Session 2 -  Soil, Pasture and Production

  • Soil Carbon, pasture types, grazing management, pasture measurement and animal/soil/plant interaction.    

Session 3 - Identifying the Potential and Planning for Change 

  • Cost of Production, labour, target growth paths, target markets, cost of infrastructure, return on investment and planning for grazing in 2018.


These courses will run to suit demand.  Each sessions is 8hours and they are normally held monthly or over 3 consecutive days to suit the group.  If you are interested in attending the next one please send an email with your details too:



Please Note: Course fee is non-refundable and you will be expected to attend all 3 sessions to receive a course certificate.  In the event of absence due to force majeure an appropriate refund will be given at the discretion of Precision Grazing Ltd less administrative costs.

Applicants who are not successful will be offered first choice of the next available academy.
